SERVE India

HI Everyone!

I am sending a quick update this month! I have a 20+ page paper due this Friday for my graduate TESOL (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages) class at UWRF, on the segmentals of Indian English speakers that most hinder intelligibility or comprehensibility to native English listeners. It is fun to learn about, not so fun to have to write a long paper about! Thanks for praying for my continued work each semester and please pray for the Lord’s leading in the areas that I should study that will be most practical to use in India someday.

I continue to take only one class each semester, which is enough due to time, effort & funds! I do really love the part that I get to be in class with many international students each semester, but I don’t love so much that at the end of their time here in the U.S. that we have to say ‘good-bye’. :{ Please pray as there are many of our student friends from India, and others, graduating and moving on, most back to their home countries, that the Truth that they have heard through so many loving friends and host families will be protected and that the Lord will grow it strong and fruitful to accomplish His amazing purposes for them. We hope that we will be able to keep up with several of the students from India that actually live very close to us to us in India… which is really amazing!

Please also keep praying for all the activities and relationships that are growing through our friends at the AllNations House. It has been such a blessing so far!!! We still need small groups to volunteer to bring a meal on a Friday night, even throughout the summer, so please let me know if you would like to do this. Thanks!

One more update… I talked with John last night and we are STILL WAITING for the one guy to send paperwork giving the permission for the school opening process to continue. He did tell the director in the next office, but now apparently he has to send paperwork verifying it. So, again, we wait…and keep praying! John talked with their area government assembly person, like our senator, who has been in favor of the school from the beginning and she said that she would try to talk with the director this week. Please keep praying, so we can win this battle in the heavenlies! Please pray that the visit from the senator will make a difference and the process can be finished up soon!
