SERVE India

Dear Epray Friends,

The summer seems to be flying by! We have been busy and have been so thankful for the friends & family we have been able to see and catch up with. We have been especially thankful for this time with our boys home. Soon they will be heading off, one by one…

Josh will be heading back to New Orleans in about a week, starting up his college career again, newly at the University of New Orleans, in International Studies. David will leave about a week after that, back to UW-Stout where he will be finishing up his last semester in Graphic Art Design. He has already been working full time this summer in a job he loves at PULSE and will continue with them part time until he finishes school, then go back full time. Jake (I am very happy to say) will be hanging out at home for a semester, taking a break from school to think through what direction he would like to focus on in his education. He will also continue with his job that he really enjoys, working many, many hours. At the end of this month Daniel will be heading down to UW-La Crosse to start his first semester as a college student! (I know, we can hardly believe it ourselves!!) Thank you for praying with us for our boys, especially as the Lord meets them where they are at and grows them more in their faith & knowledge & deep love of the Lord, and in the gifts & abilities He has given them for their lives to bring Him most glory, for we know in that they will have most joy!

Another prayer request we have that concerns college-age kids is to pray for our next young adult team trip. We are not sure of the plans yet, but we are thinking through things now. Please pray as we figure out what the Lord wants of us, who, what, where, when and how. We already know the ‘why’… to come along side the local churches in India, to encourage them & to love & serve the people in their communities so they will come to know the Truth. We also would like the trip to really bless the lives of the team members so that they will never be the same. We hope that they will know the God we serve more deeply than ever before and they will grow in their commitment to serving Him with their whole lives in whatever they may do and wherever they may be! Thank you for praying!

John will be heading back to India in early September. Please pray as we try to finish up much paperwork before he goes and also that we will have good family time before the boys start heading off.

John was planning on a trip to Sierra Leone later this Fall, but now has postponed those plans because of the Ebola virus outbreak. Please be praying for all of those affected, for wisdom, for their needs to be met and for them to find comfort from the Lord.

We are always SO grateful for your prayer for us and all of those involved with the ministries of SERVE India. We would all be very vulnerable without the strength of your prayer & care. It is a wonderful idea the Lord had to make us a family all working together, alongside of Him in His work! Thank you!! His joy, Love, The Nanda’s
