SERVE India

Dear friends,

It has already been a few weeks since John returned to India. It was nice that I had a chance to talk with him on the phone for awhile yesterday. He is back to his busy schedule and there are a few things he asked for prayer for…

Please pray for all that needs to happen for the land sale to be completed and that it will go smoothly and not take too much of his time! He was meeting the buyer for breakfast today so hopefully they were able to get much of the remaining process finished.

Please pray for the renovation work to be progressing at the training center. Some work has been started but much of it will have to wait for the funds from the sale of the land.

Also, please pray for the application process of the Teacher Training program to be able to continue without any delays. When John arrived back in India he was notified that there was a hold up so he is meeting with people about that later this week. (Always so many hoops to jump through!!!)

We are always being reminded of how our perspectives on time are so different from here to there! I am just SO thankful that the Lord is really the One in charge of that! So, although I feel impatient at times with how long things take, the Lord has shown me in many ways that His timing is perfect and I can rest in that. But, we should keep praying!! Thank you for praying with us!

Please also continue to pray for all of those who have not ever even heard the Gospel yet, of Jesus’ great love for them. I was looking at some facts today from a book called Operation World and felt so overwhelmed by the need … (just a few needs in our state of Andhra Pradesh alone, in 3 districts and 107 sub-districts there is only .1% who are Christians, and also, besides the many smaller people groups, there are 16 people groups of 100,000 or more people who are unreached) … but then the Lord reminded me again that He is not overwhelmed. We just need do what He has put in front of us to do… and pray.

Thank you for praying with us! It does matter and it makes a difference! We are so grateful for your partnership!

One more prayer request is for the team that will be heading over to India for 2 weeks at the end of March. Please pray for Wally, Jacob, Rick, Brad, Dave, Joan, Jean, myself and our son, Josh, as the details are being worked out and as we prepare. We will send out a more detailed schedule that you can be praying for us next month.

Thank you for caring about what the Lord is doing in India and for caring for our family. What a great blessing to share the joy of His truth bringing light and life to so many! We are so thankful for you! His great joy,
