Hello everyone!!

I must say that this month has been racing by, many Fall start-ups, and we have been slowly adjusting to our new ‘normal’ around the house. I really just forgot to get this month’s epray sent out!! So, here it is…

It was really wonderful to have all of the boys and John home all summer this year! We were busy as a family and had lots of time together. I am so thankful for that and now especially since 2 boys have gone off to college (David, 3rd year at UW-Stout studying graphic design, & loving it, and Jake, 1st year at UW-LaCrosse, studying psychology) and John has gone back to India. I am glad I still have a couple of boys home though! Josh is working almost full time at the YMCA running the Skate Park, Teen Center, and Teen Night, and really enjoying it. He wants to go back to school and is still seeking the Lord for what that next step will be for him. Daniel is a Junior in high school and was just recently hired to work at the Y, too! Please continue to pray for our boys, for the Lord’s supremacy in their lives in every way. Thank you! It means so much to us to have you praying for them.

John has been back in India for about a week now. He has hit the ground running, as usual! If you remember we asked you to pray for what to do with some land that we own by the ocean that the Indian Navy is considering occupying. If they do we would only get the government rate compensation for it, only a small fraction of the market value… Well, a buyer came forward and is willing to give about ½ the market value, which is a lot more than the government rate. After much investigating to see why he would do such a thing knowing the Navy will most likely take it over, we understand that he is in a position to be able to change the zoning of the land and therefore acquire a higher compensation from the government.

After much prayer we really feel like this is a great provision from the Lord! Even if the Navy eventually decides not to take the land we cannot do anything with it until they decide, which could be years and years from now. Also, by selling this land it will free John from a large responsibility that takes his time and he will be able to spend that time in other fruitful ways. And, one of the best results of this provision is that with this money we will be able to move forward with the required renovations for the teacher training school! So, please praise the Lord for this provision and please pray that it will really happen! J It will take about 2 weeks for all the surveying and paperwork that is required to be finished.

Once the land deal is settled then John will be spending much of his time getting the teacher training school paperwork finished and renovations completed so that the inspector can come and move us through to the next step. Hopefully, the whole process will be able to be completed to open the school by this next summer (2013). Please continue to pray for all of the work that needs to be done for the teacher training school, including the hiring of good staff.
